My journey

Analyzing data as a scientist
During my PhD in Biology, I had to learn how to analyze data rigorously to ensure the production of high-quality results. I participated in international communities focused on scientific reproducibility, data science education and software development for research. I was also very active in nonprofit organizations, organizing conferences on the use of R and running science outreach events.
Teaching data science
I completed a postdoc teaching courses on visualization and data science workflows to master’s students. This included mentoring students during capstone projects. I also hold a university degree in science education, from which I gained many valuable and interesting tools. I particularly enjoy converting complex concepts into ideas that allow me to communicate effectively with people.
Applying data in real-world contexts
I participated in several projects, including data-for-good and academic initiatives, where I created software packages and dashboards, and also helped organize a laboratory that was relocating to another city. I am currently applying my knowledge in a real-world context, thinking about how to manage and analyze data within an organization.
